Inlet Dance Theatre
Inlet Dance Theatre is one of the region's most exciting professional contemporary dance companies. Founded in 2001 by Founder and Executive/Artistic Director Bill Wade, Inlet embodies his long standing belief that dance viewing, training, and performing experiences may serve as tools to bring about personal growth and development. Inlet's collaborative artistic staff build the company's solid reputation for uplifting individuals and engaging new audiences via performances and education programming.
During Inlet's 21-year history, we have transformed from a small dance company with local impact into a celebrated organization that impacts people on an international level. Our core strengths reside equally in performance and education. Whether we're performing at local venues or conducting regional residencies or international exchanges, Inlet continues to inspire, educate, and innovate – all with the vision that dance can further people.

Whether locally or internationally, Inlet Dance Theatre intentionally gives public performances in a wide variety of settings to diverse audiences. Inlet is equally at home performing at theaters, outdoor pavilions, school auditoriums…even rustic villages (as the first American Modern dance company ever to perform on Easter Island).
For students of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels and education institutions desiring dance programming, Inlet Dance Theatre provides the most transformational education experiences among local dance companies because student-centered mentoring is the foundation of our teaching methods.
Inlet Dance Theatre has an extensive history of serving the unique needs of clients at corporate events, private parties, or civic engagements to creatively maximize the impact of opening celebrations, galas, benefits, festivals or events.

Inlet Dance Theatre's impact has grown locally to internationally. The company's concerts, event services, Inflow and Outflow education programs began as local initiatives and now reach regional, national and international markets. Inlet performs annually at Cleveland Public Theatre's DanceWorks Series, Playhouse Square, Cain Park Evans Amphitheater, among other local venues and conducts national touring.
Inlet has participated in numerous international artistic exchanges through The Cleveland Foundation's Creative Fusion program and a two week residency exchange to Easter Island (made possible by the Ohio Arts Council, The Ohio Arts Foundation, Playhouse Square's Education Department, the State Department and the American Embassy in Santiago, Chile). Inlet's education programming includes teaching dance classes for all ages at The Music Settlement, attracting students from all over the country to our Summer Dance Intensive and our year-long Inlet Trainee & Apprentice Program, and conducting residencies throughout Ohio as part of the Ohio Arts Council's Arts Learning Residency Program.
